CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - PRIDE industries is gearing up to celebrate National Hire a Veteran Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, with a dedicated recruiting event at the PRIDE Industries Career Hub at 7011 Sylvan Road. This event aims to connect military veterans with career opportunities across various sectors within the organization.

Veterans attending the event will have the opportunity to interview for a wide array of positions, including administration, supervision, driving landscaping, custodial services, job coaching, supply chain management and more.

According to the Department of Labor, approximately 200,000 military personnel transition annually from the armed services, bringing with them a wealth of skills and values acquired through their military service, such as dedication, teamwork, effective communication, and strong work ethic — all attributes highly valued in the workplace.

“PRIDE Industries recognizes that the experience veterans gain serving our country makes them valuable employees,” said public relations director Kat Maudru. “The company currently employs hundreds of veterans in all areas of the organization and has provided support and services to thousands more in the form of job coaching, vocational instruction, and employment placement assistance.”

National Hire Veteran Day encourages employees to actively seek out and hire veterans, highlighting the unique skills and values that former soldiers, airmen, Marines, sailors, and Coast Guardsmen offer to the workforce.
