American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) National President Everett Kelley issued a strong statement in response to President Trump’s latest executive action attacking the collective bargaining rights of over one million federal employees. In his statement President Kelley vowed to challenge this illegal executive order, immediately.
“These threats will not work. Americans will not be intimidated or silenced. AFGE isn't going anywhere. Our members have bravely served this nation, often putting themselves in harm’s way, and they deserve far better than this blatant attempt at political punishment.
“AFGE is preparing immediate legal action and will fight relentlessly to protect our rights, our members, and all working Americans from these unprecedented attacks.”

Lawmakers, Union Leaders Host Press Conference Following Trump Administration Assault on Collective Bargaining Rights
Today, lawmakers and union leaders came together for a press conference to oppose Trump's retaliatory attempt to outlaw federal unions.
Speakers included: AFGE National President Everett Kelley, AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD), Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Representative Don Beyer (D-VA), Representative Val Hoyle (D-OR), American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees President Lee Saunders, National Federation of Federal Employees National President Randy Erwin, International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers President Matt Biggs.
