Law Enforcement Unites Behind Commissioner James Morris for Superior Court Judge

SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Sacramento Superior Court Judge candidate James Morris has secured the endorsements of the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association and the Law Enforcement Managers’ Association.  

Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association President Sergeant Nathan Seger said, “We are pleased to support James Morris for Sacramento Superior Court Judge. James brings extensive legal experience and, much like law enforcement officers, is dedicated to making our community a safer place.”

In announcing the endorsement, Law Enforcement Managers’ Association President David Becwar added, “The role of Superior Court Judge is vital to our justice system and demands a breadth of knowledge and experience.  Our organization firmly believes your demonstrated ability practicing law makes you the clear choice for this critical role.”

Morris said, “I am honored to be endorsed by both of these law enforcement associations.  Their members exemplify integrity, selflessness, and dedication to the protection of our community. I’m deeply humbled to have earned the confidence and support of some of our county’s finest.”

Public service is nothing new to Commissioner Morris. His service began when he joined the Air Force. He served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. After six years of active duty he advanced to become a noncommissioned officer before his separation. After school, Commissioner Morris was a deputy district attorney in Lassen and Nevada Counties. He has served as a Sacramento County Court Commissioner and as a Criminal Law Research Attorney.
