Belza Announces Coalition of Yuba City Leaders

YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - Significant support from the community continues to come in for Dom Belza for the State Assembly - this week Belza announced a coalition of Yuba City endorsements, including the new endorsement of former Mayor Kash Gill. Mayor Gill was first elected to the City Council in 2006 and served two terms as Mayor – the first Sikh Mayor in the history of the United States.
The newly announced endorsements join the previously announced current and former City Council Members, who include Mayor Marc Boomgaarden, Vice Mayor Mike Pasquale, Councilmember Toni Cole, Councilmember Wade Kirchner, Councilmember (Ret.) Shon Harris, Councilmember (Ret.) John Dukes and Councilmember (Ret.) Rory Ramirez.
Former Mayor Kash Gill added, "I’m proud to support Dom Belza for the State Assembly. Dom and his family have called the North State home for generations. He understands our unique needs and our values and that’s exactly why he is the right man to represent us. He has my full support."
"During our time as City Councilmembers for neighboring jurisdictions, I was able to work closely with Dom Belza. In that time I was able to appreciate his work ethic, his broad knowledge base and his passion to serve. It is for these reasons, and more, that I am endorsing him for the position of State Assembly District 3."
Dom Belzaq placed first in a three-way field of Republicans with 45.2% of the vote in the California Statewide Primary, winning all six of the district’s counties. The nearest challenger finished nearly 16% behind Dom Belza at 29%.
