On Nov. 20, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) introduced H.R. 6200, the Eliminating Start-Stop Engine Nuisance Technologies that Impair Automobile Life (ESSENTIAL) Act, which would end federal mandates and incentives that push automatic engine start-stop systems in cars and trucks.
